Overview

The StaminaLift TS-2100 is the original hospital bed mover from RIHA Industries — the product that established StaminaLift as the market leader in powered bed transport. Like all StaminaLift models, it is built around two core capabilities: push/pull drive and lift-and-attach.

Push/pull is the primary function — the electric drive propels the fully loaded bed through corridors, around corners, and up ramps under complete joystick control, with no physical pushing or steering from the operator. Lift refers to the mechanism that raises the attachment point during connection, allowing the unit to take up the load.

The key distinction between the TS-2100 and the TS-5000 is the attachment method. The TS-2100 connects to the bed frame, while the TS-5000 uses a fully patented jaw mechanism that grips the caster wheel directly. Because caster wheel sizes and configurations are broadly standardized, the TS-5000 achieves compatibility with 95% of hospital beds globally. The TS-2100’s frame-based attachment works reliably where it fits, but is less flexible across different bed models and manufacturers.

Dual Capability: Push/Pull and Lift

The TS-2100 operates on the same principle as the TS-5000 and TS-6000:

  • Push/pull capacity governs how much total load (bed + patient + equipment) the unit can safely transport across flat surfaces and inclines. This is the number that determines whether a single operator can move a fully loaded bed without physical strain.
  • Lift capacity governs the attachment mechanism — how much weight the unit can raise during connection. This is what allows the mover to engage the bed and take up the load.

Because the TS-5000 and TS-6000 attach to the caster — a broadly standardized component across hospital bed manufacturers — they achieve near-universal compatibility. The TS-2100’s frame-based attachment is effective where it fits, but is less flexible across different bed models. Contact us to confirm compatibility with your specific bed inventory.
